Penn State football picked up another four-star prospect on Friday afternoon as safety Vaboue Toure verbally committed to the Nittany Lions. Toure announced his decision on his Twitter account, choosing Penn State over the likes of Oklahoma, Kentucky and others.
Hitting the scales at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds out of Irvington, New Jersey, Toure is the 17th player to join the Nittany Lions’ recruiting Class of 2024. According to the 247 Network, Toure is rated the No. 23 safety in 2024 class and the No. 4 player in the Garden State. He is the second safety to verbally commit to Penn State this cycle, joining Dejuan Lane, who verbally committed on June 4.
Penn State’s 2024 class is currently ranked the seventh-best in the nation according to the 247 Network. So far this cycle, Penn State has landed 10 verbal commitments from four-star prospects with the remaining seven currently at the three-star level. The class is headlined by four-star athlete Quinton Martin, who is ranked No. 49 prospect in the country and No. 1 in Pennsylvania, according to the 247 Network. Martin, a Belle Vernon product, verbally committed to Penn State in April.
